Neurodiversity is for life, not just for Christmas!
Today more and more organisations are talking about neurodiversity and positioning themselves as being neurodivergent friendly.
The fact that neurodiversity is being discussed more openly for me is a hugely positive thing. Because the more we talk about neurodiversity, the more we are able to reduce the stigma surrounding neurodiverse conditions.
But some might say that the agenda within many organisations is really about reputational benefit.
That some organisations just see it as a PR opportunity and a tick box exercise. That flit from one hot topic to another, for one day of the year. And are not really interested in affecting positive change.
Of course there are those organisations that genuinely want to learn more, support their people as individuals and see the benefits of having a workforce that thinks and works differently.
Neurodiversity for any organisation needs to be an ongoing strategy, built-in not bolted on.
Which organisation do you want to be?
